touchpad not working after upgrade to windows 10

I followed the process of running updates as described on the Apple website prior to running the upgrade to Windows 10.


Upgrade completed ok, but trackpad on the macbook is not working.

Checked the device manager and it had the exclamation point on two instances of the trackpad.

I attempted to have windows update the device driver and it came back with an error that update could not be completed because of issues in the registry.


I have a windows keyboard/trackpad plugged into a USB port on the macbook and that trackpad is working ok so I can navigate, but need the trackpad on the laptop to work. :-)


Any ideas on how I resolve this?
